For Sales Reps

UpBoard — Sales Rep Manual

A quick guide to working the queue and logging sales.

1. Getting Started

When you arrive, open UpBoard and go to the Sales Floor page. Find your name in the rep list — your card is also pinned at the top under "Your Status." You begin the day as Off. Tap Join Queue when you're ready to take customers.

2. How the Queue Works

The queue is first-in, first-out. Whoever joined first is up next. The Up Next panel shows everyone waiting, in order.

Statuses you'll see:

  • Available — In the queue, waiting for a customer.
  • With Customer — Currently helping someone.
  • Paused — Temporarily out (break, lunch, phone call).
  • Off — Not on the floor / off shift.

3. Taking a Customer

When you're up, tap "With Customer" on your card. This:

  • Removes you from the queue
  • Adds +1 to your "Ups" count
  • Starts a timer on your interaction

You'll appear in the Currently With Customer panel until you finish.

4. Finishing the Sale (Done)

When the customer leaves, tap Done. You'll be asked:

  • Outcome: Close (sold) or Lost (no sale)
  • Amount: Total sale amount
  • Categories: What did they buy or shop for?
  • Customer info: Name, phone, email (for follow-ups)
  • Split sale: Check this and pick the other rep if you split

After submitting, you go back into the queue at the bottom.

5. Taking a Break (Pause)

Need a quick break? Tap Pause — your spot is saved. When you return, tap Resume and you'll go back to your original queue position.

Going off shift? Use Off instead — that drops you out completely.

6. Phone Sales

If you make a sale over the phone (not from a floor up), use the Phone Sale button. The sale is logged to your totals without giving up your queue position.

7. Dropping a Customer

If a customer walks before you really engage, use Drop Customer. This reverses the "up," logs it as a drop, and puts you back in your original queue spot.

Only use this for legitimate drops — managers can see drop reports.

8. Voiding a Sale

If a previously closed sale gets canceled or returned, tap Void Sale and enter the amount to subtract from your daily totals. This reduces your revenue and close count for the day.

9. Customer List (CRM)

The Customer List page shows everyone you've worked with. Use your 4-digit PIN to access it. You can search past customers, add notes, set follow-up reminders, and update contact info.

10. End of Day

When you leave, tap Off. Daily stats auto-reset at the store's reset time (usually 10 PM). Daily reports go to managers automatically.

Quick tip: The Sales Floor page auto-refreshes every 2 minutes. Tap Refresh anytime to see the latest queue.
